In terms of printing, we are committed to being eco-responsible and value the labeling of the tools, inks and printing media we use. In general, our handmade creations are made in Bretagne.
They are also numbered (in small series) signed and accompanied during their sales by a certificate of authenticity. Our partners are also committed or in transition towards an eco-responsible ethic that echoes the values of Atelier ArtCohia.
CUSTOM PATTERNS & WALLPAPER
Finally, for a perfect harmony of your living spaces, we create your custom-made pattern together and refine your development project to the nearest nuance. Our artisanal approach allows a unique and specific production in size, color or creation of your wall covering.
Wallpaper and textile designers, ArtCohia designs its patterns and collections by hand, in a traditional way and also by digitization. These inspired creations offer you the possibility of bringing a personal signature to your wall tapestry.
The workshop also offers you to decline your creation on various coverings (medium wood and poplars, textile, imitation leather, aluminum).

The creations of the ArtCohia collection are already available and printable on various supports, such as poplars, aluminum dibond, linen canvas and imitation leather.
While 90% of printers in the Ille-et-Vilaine department use eco-solvent inks, Atelier ArtCohia has chosen to use UVgel inks that meet a number of environmental labels. Tests show that the prints exhibit excellent resistance to washing and brushing, compared to latex and eco-solvent prints. Without vinylcaprolactam (VCL), without volatile organic compounds (VOCs) gathering approximately 187 specific substances. This technology respects the ethics of Atelier ArtCohia, its commitment to our environment, your health and our interiors.

Our non-woven wallpapers and linen fabrics are made in France.
They are also labeled and authorized in places at risk, such as hospitals, schools, nurseries but also restaurants, and hotels ... They follow the standards and do not integrate pvc, phthalate, formaldehyde, phosphate, glycol ether , in their compositions . Find out more ...
The works on canvas offered are unique, original and custom-made pieces in limited production. We reduce raw material scraps and optimize our costs but also the ecological footprint of our creations (less wasted ink and paper).
Our paints are free from solvents and plasticizers, also free from titanium dioxide, heavy metals, phenol and glycol. Their VOC levels are almost zero or extremely low.
Finally the catalog "L'ATELIER", it currently includes the latest creations on wood, on hangings and paintings on canvas of the moment. This is likely to be updated depending on the progress of the projects.

FOUNDER
OF THE ARTCOHIA WORKSHOP
Alexandre Cohignac, aka Cohia was born in 1981 in Rennes, Brittany. Resides in Rennes.
Self-taught, admitted by competition, he joined the Institut Supérieur des Arts Appliqués de Rennes (LISAA) in 2003. Graduated in 2006 as a Designer-Graphic Designer, he has since sought to develop a graphic and artistic approach combining the work of materials and harmony of colors.
Cohia - "I offer my services to professionals and individuals alike in order to assist them in the design and realization of their artistic projects (painting on canvas, creation on wallpaper, sculpture, wall fresco, diversion of decorative objects, artistic performance, scenography) From the first steps of the reflection to the delivery, I strive to respond as closely as possible to the needs and requirements of the project.
Creator of atmosphere, I intervene on specifications & work in concert with architects, interior designers and decorators on the architectural identity of a building, the enhancement of a space or a place of life , while keeping in mind a requirement on the aesthetic aspect which is mine. "
